Sensory Play- Edible Sand

Even though we live 10 minutes from the beach, it's not that easy to just pick up and transport a toddler there. I wanted to bring the beach to us and create edible sand. Glad I did because Hendrix is on the "see-food" diet. Everything he sees is food. This recipe was so easy to make and was so much fun to play with.

Edible Sand

Container of golden Oreos (store brand Oreos were $.98)

1 tbsp olive oil

Container or Tupperware to play

Add cookies to blender or food processor and blend until fine, powder like consistency. Remove cookie powder and add to play container. Mix in olive oil with hands. Add toys, shovels, cups and have fun!
